The Pokemon Company just keeps bringing content all throughout 2016 for the series’ 20th anniversary celebration, and the latest is the recently started Pokemon Generations. After getting the first two episodes last week, there is now another to check out.

Pokemon Generations are a series of shorts based on the video game series, which feel like a spiritual successor to 2013’s Pokemon Origins. Last week gave us one based on a timeline of the series and then one on Giovanni.

Like the Giovanni episode, this one follows an antagonist in the series with Blue taking the lead. In this episode, he faces off against the Elite Four, which we all know how it goes from there. What is pretty neat is this is almost like a lost section of the Pokemon Origins special, as we never saw the Elite Four challenge from Blue’s perspective.

Also similar to the other episodes, this one comes in with about a 5 minute runtime. However, this one appears to be a multi-parter, as it ends on a cliffhanger, but we’ll have to wait and see if and when that is released.

The animation style continues to look beautiful, which we should expect every week with these episodes. Make sure to stay tuned each week, as they’re supposed to be releasing a new episode each week through December as part of the 20th anniversary.
