After beta tests went underway in Japan earlier this year, Australians and Kiwis will be happy to know that they will next in line to play a bit of Pokemon GO.
Niantic Labs posted more details about the Pokemon GO beta tests on the official website. They didn’t specify when the beta is taking place yet, but it should be very soon if you sign up early.
They posted: “The Pokémon Company and Niantic invite users to field test Pokémon GO in Australia and New Zealand. Users can visit http://pokemongo.nianticlabs.com to sign up. Please note that sign up doesn’t guarantee access to the field test. The Pokémon GO field test will give users the opportunity to share early feedback and help improve the Pokémon GO experience.”
Unfortunately, beta testers will be selected at random so there is no guarantee that you will be able to play the game. However, this is your only chance to play the game before anyone else can.
Pokemon GO will be out for Android and iOS sometime later this year. The beta test for Australians and New Zealanders is expected to take place later this month.
