Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is now out for the Nintendo 3DS but all of the fine tuning is not quite done yet. Following the path of last year’s Pokemon X and Y, the latest entry is going to be receiving patches moving forward to fix a number of issues. As a matter of fact, the first patch for the game is now live, Version 1.1.
Luckily, gamers haven’t suffered any major issues like we saw with X and Y’s Lumiose City saving glitch. However, Game Freak and Nintendo has pushed out the first update through the Nintendo 3DS eShop. When launching the game, you should be prompted to go to the eShop to download the update if you wish.
As per usual with Nintendo, we did not receive any details about what the patch itself consists of, though it is likely just for stability reasons, unlike the much more complicated ones for Super Smash Bros. The only info given at all was the following on the eShop:
- “Various bugs have been fixed in order to provide a smoother gaming experience.”
The good news is that this patch is only 271 blocks, so it shouldn’t take up very much room on your SD card.
