The last couple months of 2015 are near heaven for Star Wars fans between Star Wars Battlefront and the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. While Battlefront released last month, we already knew free DLC was coming based on the new movie and it is now available, at least for some gamers.
A good majority of The Force Awakens is being kept under wraps, but one of the most prominent locations we’ve seen in the trailers is the planet of Jakku, which is where you will be able to travel to in Star Wars Battlefront.
Pre-order bonuses are becoming commonplace in gaming and that is certainly not different with Star Wars Battlefront. However, instead of having something available that others will have to pay for later, the pre-order bonus was merely for early access.
As of right now, anybody that pre-ordered the game and got a code, likely printed on your receipt or through an email, can go and redeem that code on their respective system and play The Battle of Jakku based maps right now.
However, if you did not pre-order or by chance lost your code, you won’t have to wait too much longer, as the Jakku maps will be available free to download for anyone starting next week.
