Today at Sony’s PlayStation Gamescom conference in Colonge, Germany developer Q-Games has announced The Tomorrow Children.

Fans were excited to see some of the new titles coming to Playstation 4 at Gamescom and everyone was surprised to see Q-Games come back “With a bang” as Game Designer at Sony’s Japan Studios, Dylan Cuthbert said.

The trailer shows that the game will take a somewhat unique and almost dark tone as soviet era music players in the background. The official synopsis is as follows:

When an ambitious experiment designed to unite the minds of all humanity went horribly wrong, almost all life on Earth disappeared instantly, melting down into the planet to form “the Void”.

Generate “projection clones” with different classes, skills and tools, explore the Void, gather valuable resources and rebuild our ruined civilisation town by town. Create Combatants and use weapons to fend off the monstrous “Izverg” – giant beasts that now roam the Earth. Co-operation is key – your planet needs you.

It sounds quite interesting to say the least. It sounds almost like a tower-defense or a strategy type game. It will be interesting to see the game develop.

The Tomorrow Children is set to release
