While we still haven’t gotten any kind of confirmation regarding a Red Dead Redemption remaster or sequel, it looks the prequel to that game could be the next PlayStation 2 game that could be getting a re-release on PlayStation 4. The game in question is Red Dead Revolver, which was recently spotted on the Australian PlayStation Store.
The listing for the game was posted on Twitter, which is accompanied with a price of $22.95 AUD, which would come to roughly $17 dollars in the US. Interestingly enough, the release date for the game is listed as being today, though nothing has happened at this time.
Of course, those hoping for any major improvements or additions to the game should not get their hopes up, as if it is another PS2-to-PS4 game then it will likely just feature a higher resolution and trophy support. The game originally launched in 2004, garnering favorable reviews before being vastly improved upon with Red Dead Redemption.
Red Dead Redemption has been rumored for announcement for some time now, with the game originally expected to be revealed during the ending of Sony’s E3 2016 press conference.
