Ever since the Nintendo Switch was first announced gamers and media were asking for certain games to be ported to the handheld/home console hybrid system. Rocket League topped many of those lists, including our own, and we’re finally about to have that wish become a reality. We knew the game was coming for a while, but today saw the reveal of the official release date, with Rocket League arriving on Nintendo Switch November 14th.
You can see the announcement below, along with some new gameplay of Rocket League on Switch. The Nintendo Minute crew also took a tour of Psyonix studios and got some key information about the upcoming release.
Rocket League will cost the same $19.99 on Switch as it does on other platforms. Buyers will receive the same game, with some exclusive cosmetic content, including special Nintendo themed cars.
As a huge Rocket League fan, I couldn’t be more excited for this release. The thought of playing the game anywhere is tantalizing, though the online components will require a local connection. Being able to hook up and play with other Switch owners will be awesome though, and I can’t wait for November 14th to try it out.
