Even though Rocket League on Xbox One just came out in mid-February, the game has already surpassed over 1 million unique players.

The Rocket League Twitter page announced: “YES! We have officially eclipsed more than 1 MILLION unique players on One! Thank you very much for continuing to support us!

It appears Xbox One gamers have quickly learned how fun the game is. The total number of players the game has accumulated since it came out last year now stand at over 12 million.

The game has earned over $70 million in revenue thanks to strong word of mouth. Rocket League is one of those games that anyone can just pick up and play. You don’t have to be an expert to enjoy it even while playing online.

Speaking of online play, the Xbox One servers for the game have held up pretty well since launch. This is another reason why so many people enjoy it as the multiplayer experience is so smooth.

The game is available now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It will be interesting to see if the game will be ported over to Wii U or even the Nintendo NX. It could be a possibility considering how popular it is.
