Shadow of War players will be happy to know that from today they can enjoy the first story expansion of the game, which shifts the protagonist role from Talion to the elf Eltariel. She has been sent on a crucial mission by the dame Galadriel, and this DLC shines a light over those events.
Warner has accompanied the release with a new trailer introducing the story, which you can find below. Still, beware of spoilers if you still haven’t completed the main adventure, as the expansion takes place during the final act of the game, which contains a few surprising plot twists that you don’t want to know beforehand. From what we can see in the video, the DLC succeeds at extending the thrill of the main adventure, and features well-known locations that fans of the Lord of the Rings saga will immediately recognize.
Here is Warner’s official overview of the expansion, spoilers included: “Play as Eltariel, the Blade of Galadriel, as she hunts the newest Ringwraith. Her epic story begins on the tower of Barad-dûr after the battle with Sauron and takes her across Mordor. Eltariel enters battle with a new dual wield combat style, new powers based on the Light of Galadriel and the ability to wield the New Ring.”
Apart from the new campaign, the DLC includes new orc allies and side missions, boss fights, light wielding combat, and the Legendary gear set for Eltariel.
