One of the things Call of Duty games do right is that all of them still have splitscreen multiplayer. It has now been confirmed splitscreen multiplayer returns for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare as well.
Co-founder of Sledgehammer Games, Michael Condrey, confirmed this on Twitter. He answered a simple “yes” when a fan asked if splitscreen multiplayer will be included in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Sadly, he didn’t go further into the specifics yet. We don’t know yet how many people can play splitscreen multiplayer. It could only be two players or it could even be four players. Either way, this is good news for gamers that love offline multiplayer. There are far too many recent games out there that only offer online multiplayer modes. It’s been confirmed Destiny has no splitscreen mode and Titanfall was just an online only experience too.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is the newest entry in the Call of Duty series. Sledgehammer Games have been working on it for the past three years. The game is being built for the next-gen consoles in mind. It’s definitely graphically superior to Call of Duty: Ghosts which looked pretty last-gen even on the PS4 and Xbox One.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare comes out November 4th worldwide.
