Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Reveal Coming Next Month

While we know that Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is coming, the game hasn’t had an official reveal as of yet. That will end next month with EA and DICE announcing that Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will be fully revealed during a panel at Star Wars Celebration. The event will take place on April 15th at 2:30pm Eastern Time, though few other details were shared about what exactly will be shown off.

If you can’t make it, don’t worry too much. The Star Wars: Battlefront 2 panel will be livestreamed online for all to see. It is said to be a “galaxywide premiere” of the game, so expect a trailer and some extra details.

Despite Star Wars: Battlefront 2 not officially being shown to the public, we still know a whole lot about the upcoming shooter game. This includes a general release date of holiday 2017, and the fact that EA and DICE are looking to rectify the larger issues that players had with the first game. A single player campaign is likely the biggest change that they’ll be throwing in, with many feeling that the first title lacked content outside of the online multiplayer.

There were also content and replayability issues in other ways, such as a lack of map and game mode variety. We haven’t gotten any assurances that Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will launch with more content in this way, but it’s a safe bet given the time between releases and the announcements made so far by the developer.

The Star Wars franchise is helping with this, providing new planets and characters that can be included in the game thanks to the new sequels. We’ve seen content added to the first game from Episode VII ‘The Force Awakens’, and we should expect more from Rogue One and Episode 8 ‘The Last Jedi’ for this sequel.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC this holiday season.
