Nintendo Japan have begun to take pre orders for their latest New 3DS XL designs.  These pre orders will be available until 27th April at 11:59 JST via Nintendo Japan’s official site.

The Super Famicom edition New 3DS XL will set you back 21,600 yen plus shipping of around 514 yen, while the Fire Emblem design will cost 20,304 yen with the same shipping costs of 514.

Both designs include the New 3DS XL hardware, a stylus, a 4GB micro SDHC memory card, AR cards, easy start guide, user manual, and warranty certificate.

The Fire Emblem New 3DS XL design also includes TCG Fire Emblem 0 exclusive cards as part of it’s package.

Both will begin shipping end of July. These designs are so far Japan exclusive, with no plans for a US release date as of yet (UPDATE: Only the Super Famicom edition is Japan exclusive). This adds them to a growing number of Japanese exclusive designs for the 3DS, with the US and Europe being overlooked for such variety. We can only hope that over time there will be more made available worldwide.

What do you think of these designs? Would you be tempted to buy? Are there any Japanese designs you would love to see elsewhere? Let us know in the comments!
