Update: Only the original version of Tekken 7 is being displayed and not Fated Retribution. Original story is below.
Fighting game fans living in Australia will be delighted to know that Tekken 7: Fated Retribution will be playable at the Battle Arena Melbourne 8 event this weekend.
It is said to be the first ever large public display for Tekken 7: Fated Retribution. Other big public displays in the past just included the vanilla version of the game. Fated Retribution is the big update that includes new characters and altered gameplay among other things.
Not only will the game be playable at the event, but it has also been added to the official tournament lineup. If you live in Australia and think you are good enough, you can sign-up by clicking here. There is a $50 entry fee and you must register on the day. It’s cheaper just to be a spectator as it only costs $5 per day or $10 for all three days.
If you manage to become “The King of Iron Fist Tournament 7” you will receive $1000 for your efforts. It will be tough as tournament level players are no pushovers. Trust me from experience, they are hard to beat!
Battle Arena Melbourne 8 is happening on May 13th until May 15th at the CQ Functions, 113 Queen St, Melbourne, Australia. It’s worth going if you love fighting games in general and want to see the best players in the country duke it out.
