Following the conclusions of both Telltale Game’s The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead: Season 2 a few months ago, Telltale has remained relatively quiet about their future products. We know of three in particular, including the third season of The Walking Dead, Tales From The Borderlands, and Game of Thrones. The latter was revealed late last year, but the supposed release date of 2014 was looking less and less likely as the year went on with no new news, until now.

On Twitter, the Community and PR Specialist for Telltale Games, Laura Perusco, was asked when Game of Thrones would be coming to Xbox Live Arcade. She responded by saying the following:

  • “No specific release date announced yet, but I can confirm that the season IS premiering later this year. :)”

As of late, the popular opinion was that Telltale was probably waiting to release the first episode around the fifth season premiere of Game of Thrones on HBO around next March or April, but it appears that it will be coming very soon.

With the game set to take place in the TV universe, just separate from the main events, it would be good to have it likely finishing up alongside the show in the spring. With just over two full months left in the year, the wait is finally almost over for Telltale Game’s Game of Thrones.
