Just announced at San Diego Comic Con, Telltale’s Guardians of the Galaxy Episode 3 will be released on August 22nd. This will be the middle chapter of the five episode arc, which debuted back in April for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile. While each episode has been good so far, this is where Telltale usually kicks things into high gear and we ramp up the action heading toward the finale.

Telltale has two currently running series with Guardians and Minecraft: Story Mode. During their Summer Update yesterday they revealed three upcoming sequels to some of their most popular series. The Walking Dead will conclude with The Final Season, with the action coming back to focus on series star Clementine. Batman will return with a Joker centric series titled The Enemy Within. And the long awaited second season of The Wolf Among Us was revealed.

Guardians of the Galaxy has fit within the usual Telltale fare quite well, with an action packed series that has a lot of humor and character within it. We were promised that the developer would present their own take on Marvel’s cosmic group and so far they have delivered, with a unique look at some of these beloved characters, specifically Gamora.

Guardians of the Galaxy Episode 3 should deliver more of the same, while giving another deep look at one of the team members. Check back for our review when it gets closer to its August 22nd release date.
