Telltale’s critically acclaimed The Walking Dead will arrive on the PS Vita, according to a recent interview with a Sony business planner. Don Mesa told IGN that the company has been pushing to get the game released on the handheld, and that’s going to be a reality sometime later this year.
The entire first season of The Walking Dead will arrive for the PS Vita, and it should offer the best of both worlds for Vita owners. The game was originally released on the iPad, and functions well with touchscreen functionality. The console and PC control schemes could be supported by the handheld as well, but Mesa didn’t get into details about changes we’ll see to PS Vita version of The Walking Dead.
“We think that the emotion and the immersive experiences you’re going to get there, wherever you’re sitting, if you’re in your living room and playing on your Vita or sitting at a café or at the bus stop and playing this, you get that shock or fright. I think that’s going to be important. That’s what we want to deliver as you’re playing,” Mesa said about The Walking Dead on the PS Vita.
Look for it later this year.
