Xbox Game Pass is undoubtedly a great service.  It gives Xbox/PC gamers a massive library of titles to play at will, but unfortunately the downside of the program is that games do leave the service on a regular basis.  In May 2022 there are seven games leaving Xbox Game Pass so you might want to finish up any loose ends if you’re currently playing them.

On May 10th, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition is leaving Game Pass on both the cloud and console parts of the service.  After May 10th, this game will no longer be accessible for Game Pass subscribers.  However, the Game Pass subscription does come with a discount for games on the service so you could purchase it for 20% off of the normal price if you wanted to keep playing.

Later in the month on May 15th, there are six other games that are leaving the service.

  • Enter the Gungeon
  • Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster
  • Remnant: From the Ashes
  • Steep
  • The Catch: Carp and Coarse
  • The Wild at Heart

These other six titles will leave the service, but like GTA San Andreas they can be purchased if you want to continue playing any of them.

Of course, it’s not all bad news for Game Pass subscribers.  There’s been plenty that’s been recently added to the service or is on the way later this month.  Kicking off the NBA playoffs, NBA 2K22 was recently added to Game Pass.  On May 12, sports game fans will get another title with NHL 22 as well as quite a few other titles slated to arrive throughout the month.

Xbox Game Pass is currently available in a number of different varieties:  The Ultimate Subscription is $14.99 per month and includes all of the titles across Console, PC, and Cloud, including EA Play Titles.  If you’re looking for just the PC or Console version of Game Pass, you can purchase either one for $9.99.
