At this year’s E3 Ubisoft unleashed a new title in the Tom Clancy series called The Division. The game came as a surprise and was well received by the public.

Tom Clancy’s The Division is an action-MMORPG set in a devasted New York. You belong to The Division, a unit of tactical agents. Your goal is to stop the fall of society.

Fans had the chance to ask questions through social media and Ubisoft published a blogpost where some of these were answered by Antoine Emond, Senior Community Developer on The Division.

On the question what type of multiplayer experience The Division has to offer this is what he answered:

“You can also seamlessly engage in PvP and experience suspenseful scenarios where danger can come from anywhere and anyone.”

“The Division is an online, open world RPG experience where exploration, objectives and player progression are all essential. You can team up with a group of friends in co-op and jump in and jump out at any time. In certain areas, you can also seamlessly engage in PvP and experience suspenseful scenarios where danger can come from anywhere and anyone.”

PvP will play a major role in the game. The choices you make as a Division-agent could aid in the recovery of the city or plunge it further into chaos. The people you meet along the way can become your best friends or your worst enemies. Everything depends on the choices you make and the decisions you take. All of your actions will have a direct influence on the game.

No official release date has been set but according to Emond it’ll be “When it’s done.”.
