EVO 2015 may not consider using the PS4 version of Ultra Street Fighter 4 after its botched launch.
The event’s founder, Joey Cuellar, tweeted on the situation regarding Ultra Street Fighter 4 on PS4:
“We are currently evaluating what system to put USF4 on at Evo 2015. Please be patient!”
When EVO 2015 was first announced, it was revealed that the PS4 version of Ultra Street Fighter 4 would be used. This was seen as a positive thing as everyone assumed it would be the best platform to play the game.
However, Ultra Street Fighter 4 on PS4 has been a complete mess. There are far too many bugs to list. People noticed graphical glitches, lag, control issues, and several other bugs. It’s a smart idea for EVO 2015 to consider switching platforms as a game with glitches wouldn’t be wise to use during a professional gaming tournament. t’s now being noted the Xbox 360 version might be used again.
Capcom has somewhat now commented about the ongoing issues with Ultra Street Fighter 4 on PS4. They are currently looking at the issues and they hope to release a patch soon. They have also pulled the PS4 version from upcoming tournaments until things are fixed.
EVO 2015 doesn’t happen until mid-July. We’ll have to see closer to the time if the PS4 version of Ultra Street Fighter 4 is fixed by then.
