A lot of new characters have been confirmed for Mortal Kombat X lately, but will Spawn have a place in the roster?
Ed Boon seems to be hinting that Spawn could be in the Mortal Kombat X roster. He tweeted about a Blu-ray pack that features three Mortal Kombat movies packaged with the 1997 Spawn movie. He said: “Why would SPAWN be packaged with Mortal Kombat? #Random #WTF”
Is this a subtle tease from Ed Boon that Spawn will be in Mortal Kombat X? The character fits with the Mortal Kombat universe nicely. He previously featured as a guest character in Soul Calibur II years ago. It’s about time the character makes another appearance in a video game.
NetherRealm Studios already announced this week that Mortal Kombat X’s “Kombat Pack” DLC will have four characters. The characters are Tanya, Tremor, Jason Voorhees and Predator. It’s possible Spawn could fit in future DLC after the game comes out.
The Predator announcement in Mortal Kombat X is the biggest reveal for the week. He’d been rumored for many weeks, so it’s great to see it has been officially confirmed. Tanya first appeared in Mortal Kombat 4 while Tremor appeared in Mortal Kombat: Special Forces. Jason Voorhees was announced earlier this year and is of course the star of the Friday The 13th series.
Do you feel Spawn will be in Mortal Kombat X judging by the tweet Ed Boon gave us earlier this week?
