The Xbox 720 and PS4 could arrive on store shelves prior to November, according to the creative director for Assassin’s Creed 4.   Speaking in a recent interview, Jon Guesdon spoke freely about next generation platforms, since Assassin’s Creed 4 has already been confirmed for the PlayStation 4.

When pressed about the release date for the next-gen versions of Assassin’s Creed 4, Guesdon told the magazine “same ship”.  This could indicate that new consoles will be on the market when AC4 arrives on October 29th.  Last month when Sony revealed the PS4, they left fans wondering with a Holiday 2013 release window; the assumption being that they would want to have their new platform on the market prior to or on Black Friday.

While this sounds good for the PlayStation 4, Xbox fans are still holding their breath and waiting for an announcement out of  the company for the Next Xbox.  It’s expected to be happening soon, with some analysts already anointing Microsoft’s new console as the winner before it’s even announced.
