Over the last few years, group video calls on Skype have been a premium feature of the service. One that was offered to users on Windows desktop, Mac, and Xbox One. Today, Microsoft has announced that group video calls will be free, for all users on these platforms.

Xbox One users can access the Skype application free of charge on the console, utilizing the Kinect camera to host video conferences.

Microsoft says that free group calls will be coming to “all our users across more platforms — at no cost,” in the future.
