Draw Something 2 is officially “coming soon”, according to OMGPop CEO Dan Porter. Porter confirmed the new game via Twitter following some promotion by television personality, Ryan Seacrest.

“Coming Soon” is as close as we’re gonna get for a release window on the popular mobile game that saw a huge popularity growth in 2011 and 2012.

The original Draw Something was downloaded over 100 million times in 2012 alone, during which Zynga acquired the small developer to add the drawing game to their portfolio. Draw Something 2 will likely be laser targeted at mobile devices and tablets on the Zynga network.

A recent interview with Zynga Games President Steve Chiang explained that Zynga’s take on the future of gaming is that tablets will be the ultimate device for delivering experiences to players on Zynga’s network.
