Battlefield 3 will definitely have a cooperative mode when it launches this October, and Patrick Bach has just revealed some of the details about the new mode.  Never one to really be known for it’s single player experience, the Battlefield franchise has always been about teamwork and online play.  This time around, DICE is making a concerted effort to deliver on all fronts for Battlefield 3.

From what we’ve seen of the campaign we know it’s a cinematic and visceral experience.  One that DICE has put a lot of TLC into.  Though the cooperative mode that was announced, has stolen little of the spotlight until now.  The mode will consist of ten maps where you and one other player can play cooperatively in the “dedicated mode”.  Unfortunately for fans, the interview from the latest PSM3 magazine did not divulge much more about the mode, other than the total amount of maps available, and number of players involved.  Bach didn’t venture into telling how or if at all would the cooperative mode tie in to the single player story.
