Among the big reveals of the 2011 Spike Video Game Awards, Bioware might have silently stole the show with the incredible trailer above, for Mass Effect 3 .  In it, Commander Shepard battles an enormous Reaper enemy as he navigates hist team through a treacherous environment.

As far as scale goes, I don’t think we’ve seen anything like this in previous Mass Effect games.  Mass Effect 3 will conclude the story of Commander Shepard this March, when the game releases for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.  Bioware also recently revealed that Mass Effect 3 will include multiplayer for the first time in the franchise.
