Assassin’s Creed Unity Offers Terrible Pre-Order Incentive

Pre-order incentives and DLC must be really going out of hand lately. Some bonuses are good, while others feel cheap. One pre-order incentive announced for Assassin’s Creed Unity could be one of the worst ones offered in video game history.

NowGamer has found an image of an advertisement showing a pre-order incentive to buy Assassin’s Creed Unity. One of the bonuses you get is an exclusive mission. An exclusive mission is the good part of the deal. Many other publishers have done this in the past and it has worked out well. Gamers always like extra missions to increase the value of the game they are purchasing.

The other part of the pre-order incentive for Assassin’s Creed Unity has made gamers worldwide cringe. It quite possibly could be the worst bonus being offered. Ubisoft will be offering buyers “exclusive pants to increase their speed”. As WWE Superstar The Miz would say: Really?

Ubisoft is going to give you pants to run faster in Assassin’s Creed Unity. At least it’s a pre-order bonus and not paid DLC like a microtransaction. It has been revealed the game will have microtransactions, although Ubisoft promised they won’t be too intrusive.

Do you agree that pants to make you run faster in Assassin’s Creed Unity is a pathetic pre-order bonus?
