Bethesda has just announced that they will be hosting their own E3 press conference this year, marking a first for the video game developer. The presentation will take place well before the main expo, on Sunday, June 14th in Hollywood, CA. No time was given in the initial announcement, but invites are expected to go out soon which should clarify more details.
Please plan to join us the evening of June 14, 2015 for our first-ever E3 Showcase!
The big question in the wake of this news is, what prompted Bethesda to plan this event. Media press conferences in downtown Hollywood are not cheap, so they must have something big to say. Speculation obviously points to Fallout 4 and/or Elder Scrolls VI reveals. Both of these games are highly anticipated, yet Bethesda has remained completely silent on them.
Each big video game conference that comes around seems to stoke the rumor fires once again. Those rumors usually turn out to be false, so don’t assume that these are definitely going to happen. However, something big must be on the way to prompt Bethesda to host its very first E3 press conference. All previous E3’s have featured Bethesda games, but always as part of another company’s press conference, or simply on the show floor.
For those who won’t be able to attend the event in person, Bethesda will be streaming the presentation live on Twitch.
