Treyarch Studios and Activision have announced another special weekend event for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. This time it is a Double Weapon XP weekend, giving players a chance to level up their individual weapons much faster. The event begins tomorrow, February 5th at 10am Pacific Time and will run until Monday, February 8th at 10am PT. Players across all platforms should receive the extra XP without having to do anything on their end, meaning PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC players will get a chance to boost their weapon levels.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 loves having these double XP weekends, with previous ones giving extra base XP, as well as more specialized events like the one happening this weekend. Weapon XP allows players to level up their weapons, unlocking new attachments that can often mean the difference between victory and defeat.
If you have any weapons that you want to try out, or ones that you really don’t like the iron sights on, you will want to load it up this weekend and give it a shot. Even if you aren’t doing particularly well, the double XP should allow you to unlock the weapon upgrades pretty quickly.
