The Dark Souls series has had somewhat of a rocky past when it comes to PC releases. The original game saw almost an entire year between its release on PS3 and Xbox 360, and its eventual PC version. Dark Souls 2 was much improved, but still had over a month in between console and PC releases. However, while nothing is set in stone just yet, it looks like things could be changing for Dark Souls 3.
We spoke with Denny Chiu, Public Relations for Bandai Namco Entertainment about the possibility of a delay between Dark Souls 3 releasing on PS4 and Xbox One, and the PC. He responded “currently we’re striving to have all versions of the game release at the same time.”
Just to be clear though, these are tentative plans, anything can happen between now and Dark Souls 3’s early 2016 launch. Chiu continued, “we’ll have more concrete updates and news as the campaign progresses so stay tuned.”
Either way, this is great news for Dark Souls fans on the PC. Even if there is something that causes a delay on their preferred platform, it is great to see Bandai Namco pushing for a simultaneous release on all three planned platforms.
Dark Souls 3 hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC in early 2016.
