Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has gone gold according to its developer, Eido Montreal. This means that principle development on the game is complete, with the physical discs able to be printed starting now. Of course, with modern game development this is nowhere near the end, with the team likely moving on to updates and DLC. Still, it is a huge milestone for the game, and is a good sign given that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has a release date of August 23rd, meaning the team finished with plenty of time to spare.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has been a long time coming. As the sequel to the very well received Deus Ex: Human Revolution from 2011. The series has been acclaimed throughout its life, with new entries sometimes taking a long time to come to fruition, but usually pleasing fans with their excellent action-RPG mechanics.
Mankind Divided sees the series pick up two years after the last game’s story came to a close. Players will deal with the ramification of those events while they play as ” Adam Jensen, an augmented former private security officer now working with Interpol to capture a terrorist group of augmented humans.”
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 23rd.
