Electronic Arts recently announced that it is closing down a rather large list of its online communities. Although EA noted that the EA Sports titles listed represent only 1% of all peak online players across every EA title. “EA’s objective in closing the nearly deserted servers allows the their engineering and IT staff to focus on a positive experience for the other 99% of their online players.”
Most notable shutdowns, are to the Lord of the Rings games, Sims Carnival at least these were the deemed worthy of mention by the publisher. Â You can check out the full news release at the link below.
