EA has promised that there will be Star Wars Battlefront sequels in the pipeline. This year’s game won’t be the only one from the rebooted series.
As reported by Gamespot, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen, teased that Star Wars Battlefront sequels will be made in the near future while speaking at the UBS Global Technology Conference.
Jorgensen said that “our goal is to make future Battlefront games“. This means there will be a Star Wars Battlefront 2 in the pipeline. It’s likely they will call it a different name though as people might get confused with the original 2005 Battlefront 2 game.
What is even more interesting is that EA will be making several different styles of Star Wars games on mobile, console and PC platforms. EA has struck a deal with Disney to develop Star Wars games for ten years.
Jorgensen also confirmed that EA is allowed to make Star Wars games based on all of the new films and the spin-offs too. We may see games based on The Force Awakens and Rogue One somewhere down the line.
This year’s Star Wars Battlefront game (so far) only focuses on the original trilogy of movies. This might change when the inevitable sequel comes. Will any new prequel games get made?
