Famitsu has published the first review for Bravely Second: End Layer and has given the game very high praise.
Famitsu has four reviewers and all of them gave Bravely Second: End Layer 9, 9, 9 and 9. Thus this gives the game a total score of 36/40. It’s the only review available at the moment, but it’s a positive one. The previous game was critically acclaimed as well so this is a good sign.
In terms of the actual review for Bravely Second: End Layer, the reviewers had nothing but positive words for it. One of the things one reviewer praised was the story. He said that it’s “easy to understand and efficiently fun“. He even suggested you don’t even have had to play Bravely Default to be able to understand the game.
Two of the reviewers loved Bravely Second: End Layer’s “auto battle feature“. Overall they said the game still has the same systems as Bravely Default, but noted this isn’t really a bad thing.
The last reviewer liked Bravely Second: End Layer’s character customization as it gives you “more freedom bit by bit“. The reviewer also liked the relationships between the old and new characters.
Bravely Second: End Layer releases exclusively for the 3DS on April 23rd.
