A video game insider claims that the Nintendo NX console will not be competing against the PS4 directly on a “power level“.

Liam Robertson who goes under the moniker of “Unseen 64” tweeted a few new things he heard about the Nintendo NX console.

He said: “The NX is definitely not aiming to compete with the likes of PS4 on a power level. Absolutely sure of that now.”

Robertson claims he “talked to the right people” about it. GamerCenterOnline reports Robertson to be a reliable insider as he announced the Fallout 4 Pipboy Edition before it was revealed. He also leaked the Uncharted Collection before it was announced too.

Nintendo have not really given us official details about the NX yet. They only mentioned they are staying quiet on the subject for now to avoid their competitors from taking their ideas.

Nintendo also stated the Nintendo NX will be a new home console. It’s not going to be a new portable device or something entirely different like a tablet of some sort.

Bear in mind, it’s still early days and we cannot really tell the real specs for the console yet. One would think the console should be more powerful than the Wii U. Third party developers would like a more powerful system to work with.
