People Cannot Play Digital Copy Of WWE 2K15 On Xbox One

For some very strange reason, digital owners of WWE 2K15 on Xbox One cannot play the game they already own. This is a strange issue that we don’t see very often.

One person on the WWE 2K forums described it best. He tried to play WWE 2K15 on Xbox One but came with a strange message to insert the disc. This is very odd as you don’t insert a disc when you own a DIGITAL version of a game.

People on Twitter have commented on the WWE 2K15 issue as well. One person said that WWE 2K15 has been removed from the Xbox Live Store entirely. The game’s removal has caused current digital copies of the game to not work properly.

Xbox Support looked at the Xbox Live Store and they cannot see WWE 2K15 listed on there either. Even new buyers that want to buy the game cannot do so right now.

2K Games is aware of the issue and said:

We’re aware of the issues with the digital version of #WWE2K15 on XB1. We are looking into this and hope to have an update soon.”

This is unacceptable to say the least. People cannot play a game that already legitimately own because of some error on Xbox Live or something. This is one reason why an all-digital and always-online future may not be a good thing.
