Persona 5 will launch in the USÂ with only support for English audio, though there are those out there who prefer to play these games with their original Japanese audio work. While it wasn’t originally set to be included, Atlus eventually decided that they would be adding in the Japanese audio as free DLC for those interested. We now have more details about the DLC, particularly its big download size.
It has been revealed that the download size for the Japanese audio DLC is a whopping 2.9GB, which is huge seeing that it only includes audio. However, considering the size of the game and all of the voiced dialogue that is going on within, it perhaps isn’t too surprising when you really think about it. The download is currently only available to download through the European PlayStation Store, though the North American PlayStation Store version is expected to be going live soon.
Persona 5 is the latest installment in Atlus’ fantastic Persona series, offering a new cast of wild characters that are immersed within a plot that is definitely unique. You’re a high school student who ends up becoming a member of a group called the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, who aim to redeem corrupt adults by stealing the treasure from the palaces they have manifested. It’s the kind of a story that only Atlus could pull off so well, and if you’re interested in learning more about it then be sure to check out our review of the game.
There’s plenty of other DLC that will be coming to the game, which will release all throughout this month and early into next month. Most of it is paid DLC that includes things like the Catherine Costume and BGM Set and the Persona 4 Costume and BGM Special Set, though the Persona 5 Swimsuit Set will release for free.
