Pokemon’s 20th anniversary has been in full swing for months now and with that has comes a variety of different games like Pokemon Go and Pokken Tournament, but also monthly event legendary distributions as well. These giveaways have varied in how they were distributed and the August distribution once again requires you to visit one specific retailer.

The legendary Arceus debuted in the Diamond and Pearl era as a special event Pokemon that is essentially the god of the Pokemon universe, and August gives you yet another chance to add it to your games.

This special event Arceus is a level 100 Normal type that comes with the ability Multitype and the moves Judgment, Recover, Hyper Beam, Perish Song.

From now until August 24, you can visit any GameStop store and receive a special download code card to receive Arceus in one version among Pokemon X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire.

To get an Arceus for use in more than one of these games, you will need to get more than one card. You are supposed to be able to get these at GameStop with no other purchase, but getting more than one may depend on the store and employee themselves.

The cards themselves will have a redemption date later than August 24, but do make sure to at least get your code from GameStop before that date.
