The progression system in Horizon: Zero Dawn is set to be robust allowing you to customize how you want Aloy (the main character) to play like.

Gamereactor had a chance to interview David Ford who is the lead quest designer for Horizon: Zero Dawn. He mentions in great detail the level of options players have on progressing in the game.

He said: “We have so many ways to boost your character, Aloy. We have some pieces of equipment with different statistics and the ability to modify the stats of your weapons and accessories. There are different types of weapons, each with different ammunition. There is a point system for very robust skills that allow you to customize your character. Some of the features shown during the presentations of the game using the skills that you will get thanks to this system“.

The game has a big open-world full of animals and deadly robotic creatures. There are many ways you can approach the combat which makes the game feel unique and exciting. The game comes out exclusively for the PS4 on February 28th, 2017.
