While Remedy Entertainment has been exclusively known as a single-player developer in the past, today they reveal that they are broadening their horizons and trying something different. While they confirm that single-player experiences will still be a big part of what they do, they also have multiplayer experiences in the works.

This was revealed in a new blog post on the Quantum Break developer’s website, where they said the following:

“Single-player experience has always been an important focus for us. At the same time, we want to challenge ourselves to find ways to also expand these elements to include cooperative multiplayer. We will always strive to be the best storytellers we possibly can, and we want these stories to be shared and elevated through players’ cooperation. We believe that a multiplayer experience combined with Remedy’s unique world-building provides an exceptional environment for that.”

While there were no details made regarding the games that would include multiplayer, they did claim that they have multiple games in the works that can all potentially include some form of multiplayer.
