According to estimates from VGChartz, the game sold over 301,028 units in its first week on sale at retail stores worldwide. This of the for the week ended November 14th. The sales account for four days since the game came out on November 10th.

Breaking down the platform sales, Rise of the Tomb Raider did much better on Xbox One. The Xbox One version of the game sold over 229,742 units. This is bigger than the 71,286 units sold for Xbox 360.

In terms of percentages, the Xbox One version accounted for 76 percent of sales. The Xbox 360 version only mustered 24 percent. This is further evidence that gamers are leaving the last generation behind. More people are gravitating towards the newer consoles now.

The game sold more units in the USA. American sales were 143,817 units. This is up slightly from the 124,384 units sold over in Europe.

Rise of the Tomb Raider had a tough time competing with Fallout 4 in November as both games shared the same release date. Not to mention the game was only available on the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

The game could get higher sales next year once it hits the PC and PS4 platforms.
