The sales for Rise of the Tomb Raider PC and XCOM 2 have now been revealed and both games have performed favorably.
SteamSpy has reported on the first week sales for both Rise of the Tomb Raider PC and XCOM 2. Rise of the Tomb Raider has sold close to 420,000 units so far. This puts it higher than the first week results for the game on Xbox One and Xbox 360.
However, sales of Lara Croft’s new outing increased over the Holidays when it eventually sold over 1 million units on Xbox One and Xbox 360. Taking into account the new PC data, it’s safe to say the game has sold well over 1.5 million units by now. It should have no trouble selling over 2 million units when it hits the PS4 later this year.
As for XCOM 2, the PC exclusive has sold over 574,571 units to date which puts it above Rise of the Tomb Raider. The game’s debut is even higher than that of XCOM: Enemy Unknown which is impressive as that game came out on PS3 and Xbox 360 too.
Both games were received well by both fans and critics so it’s not unexpected that they are selling well on the PC.
