We recently saw some screenshots of the upcoming Rise of the Tomb Raider running off of a PlayStation 4 Pro, though following all of the commotion since the PlayStation Meeting we’re getting even more details. While the game will certainly look and run better than ever on Sony’s new console, the game will apparently let you choose between several different graphics and frame-rate options.

During a Q&A after the PlayStation 4 Pro announcement, Rise of the Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics shed some more light on the game and how it will run on the new platform. According to them, there will be three different modes that each come with a different resolution setting and frame-rate setting.

The three settings are the following:

  • 4K Resolution Mode: 4K resolution running at 30 frames-per-second
  • Enriched Visuals Mode: 1080p resolution running at 30 frames-per-second
  • High Frame-rate Mode: 1080p resolution running at 60 frames-per-second

It is worth noting that the developer warns that High Frame-rate mode probably won’t always keep a consistent 60 frames-per-second, claiming that it will stay above 45 frames-per-second at minimum.

Rise of the Tomb Raider launches for the PlayStation 4 on October 11th.
