Bandai Namco has spoken out that for Tekken 7 to add Tekken Tunes, this will require a new PS4 update in order for it to work properly.
If we rewind back to Tekken Tag Tournament 2, there was a feature in that game called Tekken Tunes. Fans were able to add their own MP3 files into the game so that can listen to their personal music library.
A Twitter user asked if Tekken Tunes would be returning in the upcoming Tekken 7 on the PS4. The game’s director, Katsuhiro Harada, answered that some big changes will be needed in order for that to be a possibility .
He said: “It’s impossible for the moment. We require policy change with OS Update of Sony. I continue negotiating with Sony. But It’s not too easy (include security issue”
This is the same issue that 2K Games faces with its annual WWE2K games. Gamers want to use their own music to add for wrestler entrances, but they cannot do that with the current PS4 and Xbox One consoles like they could with the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Hopefully future PS4 and Xbox One updates allows users to store MP3 files on their hard drives so that they can be used in certain video games that require them.
