Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare came out a few days ago, although it seems as if it’s not as popular as last year’s Black Ops 3. Sales in the UK are lower than in the past.
Even though Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare received the second biggest launch in the UK in 2016 (behind FIFA 16), GFK Chart-Track reports it sold less copies than Black Ops 3.
The game still managed to be the best selling game of that week in the UK, but its sales are 48.4 percent less than the amount Black Ops 3 got last year. Not even bundling Modern Warfare Remastered managed to entice UK gamers to shell out for it.
EA’s Battlefield 1 is still going strong at the number 2 spot. Unlike this year’s Call of Duty, sales for Battlefield 1 are stronger in the UK compared to its predecessors. The game is selling better than Battlefield Hardline and Battlefield 4.
EA however may have blundered a bit releasing Titanfall 2 so close to both Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty. The game had an underwhelming launch last week and has dropped to number 5. FIFA 17 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Special Edition took out the third and fourth positions.
