It was a big week of new releases including the likes of Gears of War 4 and WWE 2K17 hitting the market. However, FIFA 17 is still the retaining champion.
As reported by GFK Chart-Track, FIFA 17 came out on top again for the third consecutive week. Sales dropped by 55 percent, but this was enough to hold off any newcomers.
Gears of War 4 had to settle for second place. Last week’s number 2, Mafia 3, dropped down to third. Sales for Mafia 3 dropped by 54 percent compared to the prior week.
WWE 2K17 had to settle for fourth while Rise of the Tomb Raider PS4 rounded out the top five. There were lots of other new releases debuting elsewhere in the chart.
Skylanders Imaginators debuted at number 8 while Dragon Quest Builders placed at number 13. Most of the other new releases are all PlayStation VR titles.
The best selling PlayStation VR title in the UK was PlayStation VR Worlds. It debuted at number 7. The next best selling VR game was Until Dawn: Rush of Blood followed by Rigs: Mechanised Combat. All three of these games managed to be in the top 10 best sellers on all formats.
Next week we should see the numbers of Battlefield 1 and the week after comes Titanfall 2. It’s interesting EA chose to release the big FPS games around the same time.
