EA has hinted that we may have to wait a few years for Visceral’s Star Wars game to come out. The Battlefront sequel also has no release window at the moment.
EA Chief Financial Officer, Blake Jorgensen, mentioned a bit about the future of Star Wars video games at the latest conference call. There will be another Star Wars Battlefront video game confirms Jorgensen. However, he has “no idea” when the game will be released.
It’s possible we won’t see the sequel to Star Wars Battlefront until late 2017 at the earliest. This is because late 2016 is reserved for Battlefield 5 and Mass Effect Andromeda. It’s also worth mentioning Star Wars: Episode 8 won’t be out until December 2017.
Some other news concerns the Visceral Star Wars video game being developed by the likes of Amy Hennig and Jade Raymond. Jorgensen confirmed that the game is “a few years out” from coming out. We may not see much of that game yet, although a teaser might be nice.
It’s expected that the Visceral Star Wars video game will be a 3D action adventure game like Assassin’s Creed or Uncharted. Apart from that, EA has not given much more details on the game.
