Lei Wulong has been in every Tekken game since the second one came out 20 years ago. His status for Tekken 7: Fated Retribution however is still unknown at this stage.
If you are a fan of Lei Wulong, you better pray to Bandai Namco’s Katsuhiro Harada to add him into Tekken 7: Fated Retribution. Based on a recent tweet he posted, it sounds like not many people used him in previous games. Harada answered to a fan: He has a chance of course. But his usage rate was too low. Our effort wasn’t enough.
This sounds like Harada is not enthusiastic to put him in the game mainly because not many people will use him. He might miss out being in the launch roster, but this doesn’t rule out him being added in the future as DLC.
The roster for the game so far has 32 characters. The PC/console release could have more characters, although Bandai Namco has not announced any new names recently.
We still don’t know when the game will be out, but Tekken 7 is going to be out in 2017 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Aside from an updated gameplay engine, a long story mode is also added to the PC/console version.
