‘If I Can Tell That You Care About Your Car, Then You All Good’: This Man’s Parking Strategy Has People Either Nodding Or Fuming

His parking "strategy" is peak entitlement.

A TikToker named Jay has got people talking about where they park their cars. He shared a video explaining his rules for parking, and people have very different opinions about it.

Jay, who posts under @turbochargejay on TikTok, says he will not park next to cars that look old or beaten up. He thinks people who let their own cars get damaged probably will not be careful around his car either. He wants to avoid getting scratches and dents on his vehicle.

According to Daily Dot, in his video from October 21, 2025, Jay said he looks for new cars, sports cars, and nice luxury cars to park beside. He also said, “If I can tell that you care about your car, then you all good.” Jay thinks old beat up cars are the main problem because their owners will ding your door or scratch your paint without caring.

People Are Totally Split On This Parking Debate

A lot of people who love their cars agreed with Jay. They said they do the same thing when looking for a parking spot. Some said they walk to the back of parking lots just to stay away from other cars. A few even admitted they take up two spaces to protect their vehicles.

But the comments also showed why some people worry so much about their cars. One person named adr1an had terrible timing and wrote, “Bro I JUST got my car stolen today.” Another driver with a Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit R talked about repair costs, saying “I had a door ding and I’m fixing it right now it’s thousands of dollars worth of damage.” These stories show why car lovers treat their vehicles like precious gifts worth protecting.

Other TikTok users posted pictures of their cars to ask Jay if he would park next to them. One person showed off a clean gold Honda and asked if it passed the test. Jay said yes because the car was well taken care of and looked great.

One person driving a Nissan Altima said they will park anywhere they feel like it. Another person said they wish more people thought like Jay so fewer cars would park near theirs.

But plenty of people driving older cars did not get upset at all. They actually seemed happy that Jay would leave them alone in the parking lot. They joked that they will keep parking wherever they want and do not care what anyone thinks. Some people end up with cars that have problems anyway, and they just deal with what they have.
