‘Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Greene’: Longtime Trump loyalist begs him to stop as threats pour in, but his response makes it so much worse

Trump's most loyal soldier just became his favorite target.

President Donald Trump and Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene are no longer on good terms. Greene says she’s been getting death threats after Trump started attacking her online. This is a big deal because Greene used to be one of Trump’s biggest supporters in Congress.

On Saturday, Greene said Trump’s posts about her led to a bunch of people sending her threatening messages. She went on CNN the next day and said the worst part was when Trump called her a traitor. Greene also mentioned that private security companies have reached out to warn her about potential dangers, and she’s dealt with death threats before when people attacked her publicly.

But Trump didn’t seem to care about her concerns. When talking to reporters on Sunday night before getting on Air Force One, he used the insult again, as per Reuters. “Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Greene,” he said. “I don’t think her life is in danger…I don’t think anybody cares about her,” Trump told the press, basically saying her worries weren’t real.

Things really got out of hand over the Epstein files

The main reason these two are fighting has to do with Jeffrey Epstein, the dead financier who was convicted of sex crimes. Greene joined three other House Republicans and a group of Democrats to push for releasing all the Justice Department records about Epstein. Trump thinks the whole Epstein situation is just a “hoax” that Democrats made up, so he wasn’t happy that Greene went against him on this.

Trump started going after Greene on Friday night with a social media post. He called her “Wacky” and said she was a “ranting lunatic” who kept trying to call him. He kept posting more insults over the weekend, calling her a “Lightweight Congresswoman” and saying she was a “disgrace” to Republicans. Trump even said voters in her area should think about supporting someone else to run against her in next year’s election.

This whole situation is pretty shocking because Greene had long been known as one of Trump’s most devoted allies in Congress. The fact that they’re now fighting so publicly shows there might be bigger problems within the Republican Party. It makes people wonder if Trump’s support among the most conservative members of his party is starting to crack.

Here’s something interesting though. On Sunday night, Trump posted on social media that “House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide.” This came after he spent the whole weekend dodging questions from reporters about those same files.

At one point, he even told a female reporter “quiet, quiet piggy” when she asked him about it, which shows how he often treats the media.

The White House didn’t say anything when asked about the fight between Greene and Trump or about what he said to that reporter. Right now, nobody really knows if this marks a permanent break between former allies or if they’ll eventually make up. But for now, things look pretty bad between them.
