WWE legend publicly calls on Barron Trump to enlist in the military, but it’s what he said about the Butler shooting that has everyone talking

WWE legend and former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura claimed during a recent TV appearance that the July 2024 assassination attempt on President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, was staged. As reported by UNILAD, the remarks came during an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, where Ventura also issued a public call for Barron Trump to enlist in the military.

The Butler incident saw Thomas Matthew Crooks fire several rounds toward President Trump, with one bullet reportedly grazing the president’s ear. Trump was treated for minor injuries, bystander Corey Comperatore was killed, and Crooks was fatally shot by a Secret Service sniper.

When Morgan pressed Ventura on whether he genuinely believed the attempt was fabricated, Ventura responded by asking, “I don’t know, where’s his scar today?” He also invoked the wrestling term “blade job,” which refers to a performer intentionally cutting themselves to produce a blood effect on camera.

Ventura used the interview to directly address Barron Trump

Beyond the Butler claims, Ventura argued that leaders who send others into conflict should be willing to put their own family members on the front lines. He stated, “Trump wouldn’t know it because he’s a draft-dodging coward.”

He further added “A war is justified if you’re willing to send your kids. Because how can you send somebody else’s kids to a war if you won’t send your own?” The comments came as Trump’s conduct around military matters has drawn ongoing scrutiny, including reports that his allies are concerned about his Iran war briefings.

Ventura then addressed Barron directly, calling on him to enlist in the United States military. “So I’m calling right now for Barron Trump, Donald Trump’s son,” he declared, noting that to his knowledge no member of the Trump family has served in the military in the last 100 years. “Well Barron, you can change that. Enlist in the United States military right now, do something your father didn’t have the courage to do, do something your father didn’t have the patriotism to do,” he added.

Barron Trump, who is 20 years old, has recently become a director of Sollos Yerba Mate Inc., a beverage company registered near the president’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida. First Lady Melania Trump also recently issued a public warning of “serious consequences” to anyone sharing a leaked photo of Barron.

Ventura’s remarks come as Trump-related political stories have continued to draw heavy attention, including reporting on deportation operations costing US cities hundreds of millions after Congress approved record funding to expand them.
